Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update to all Student Residents

Published by : SSA on 02 March 2020
Dear Students,

As you all are aware, COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) is in the UK and there are certain steps and measures that have been put in place by the Public Health of England.

Please follow the advice that has been put in place:

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze;
Put used tissues in the bin immediately;
Wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available;
Please maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and another who is coughing or sneezing;
NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.
There are certain areas abroad, that have been “locked down”, please ensure that you check your destinations on the Gov.uk website for further clarification, if you have planned on travelling.

If you need further information, please go online and visit the following authorities:
GOV
NHS
WHO

We, at Smart, would like to reassure you that the health and welfare of each student and staff present in the building, is our main concern. Please do not hesitate to speak to a member staff, if you have any questions or queries. We will try to assist you as best as we can.

Thank you for your understanding into this matter.
Kind Regards,
